With all the excitement I haven't posted much about Granite, but this week our friends had to put down their dog, Cosmo. While Granite's surgery was expensive and the recovery has been rough, we are grateful to have her and are glad she is doing well. I remember when Cosmo came to the lake for a visit and Granite guarded Cosmo's food and growled at him when he came near it. We will miss you Cosmo and we promise to teach our child better manners.
Overall she is doing well and gets her staples out on Thursday. After that it will be another 4 weeks of the crate and out to go to the bathroom. It has been quite a lifestyle change for her. Anyone that has met her knows what I'm talking about it.

First day home and ready to chase rabbits already!

One week home after a pain pill!

Glad she is feeling better...wow her hair grows fast!!! Michele :)
Aww~ poor G! It's got to be killing her to be in that kennel!
I am so glad Granite is doing better. I feel so bad for her in that second photo! We have a friend whose Mastiff had the same surgery about 6 months ago. It was a long recovery, but dogs bounce back quickly. She will be back chasing rabbits before you know it! :-) Cher
We miss Gi Gi! We feel bad not stopping over for a visit when we are at the lake, but do not want to get her overly excited. Glad to hear all the red tape is moving along with the adoption process. Christopher wants to know why Gi Gi is still in the cage. And Christopher has added Gigi to "God Bless" list totally on his own. HOpe you guys had fun last night.
Talk to you soon.
