Greetings from Volgograd!

We made it to Volgograd! The flight was great, very clean and they served a huge lunch and the flight was only 1 hour and 15 min. The ride to the hotel was very interesting, it was like stepping back 50 years. Same goes for our hotel but the area all around the hotel is beautiful. The streets are all cobblestone, lined with good restaurants (so we hear, we've only been to one) and a grocery store. The menus are sort of in English ...Dan just ordered a Buffalo pizza .... it's a pizza with Buffalo meat on it. LOL!

Tomorrow Alex, Natasha and Lena will pick us up at 8:30 and we will go and meet with the officials and then off to the baby home to meet our little girl. We are pretty calm but not sure how much we will sleep tonight. :)

We'll keep you posted!

so did Dan eat the buffalo?! Glad to hear that the city is nice - is the baby home right in the city or is it a little bit of a drive? Can't believe that you are finally meeting her so soon! Give her a big kiss from me. We are anxious to have you home and hear all about your daughter. Take care -
