The Piglet Outfit!

Throughout the two years that we've been in the adoption process we have met many AP's. (adoptive parents) We met one couple from Long Island earlier this year who were also registered in Volgograd. Some of you may remember them from the blog when I posted about them getting a referral back in March. They traveled in March to meet their daughter and brought her home in July.

We have kept in touch and when we got home I sent them some photos of Mischa and she was wearing the piglet outfit. The first question they asked was, "Did you take that piglet outfit with you ... because we took one for our daughter and left it at the orphanage?" It was the same Piglet outfit that they had left when they met their daughter.

We also found out their daughter was in Mischa's group and they remembered seeing her on their second trip and he had commented to his wife about how cute she was.

That's my story for today! One week of waiting down ... not sure how many to go. We're finishing up some paperwork this week and back to Albany on Thursday so that we can send it with a family traveling this weekend.

It is truly a small world! How funny that Mischa's "Piglet" outfit was the same one. What are the chances!? Maybe one day another couple will adopt their little girl and she will be wearing the same "Piglet" - if you guys leave it at the orphanage that is.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
Have a good week - You are one week closer to bringing Mischa home. :-)
Good luck with the paperwork. Love, Cheryl

What a coincidence! It's a darling outfit though. It won't be long you will be able to have her with you! Parenthood is wonderful.

Funny how things happen :-) I think you should leave it there for the next little girl! We need to go shopping at the outlets in Maine again before you bring her home! Michele

Yes...we will leave the piglet outfit. It was so cute the first time they brought her out to us in the outfit but after four days we were saying..."Here comes our little Piglet again!"

Hey Jill and Dan - Just wanted to check and see how Granite is doing now. Bet she was glad when you got home! Soon she will get to meet little Misha Grace - what fun they will have together. Cheryl

Thanks Cher! Granite is doing better ... she goes in Thursday for x-rays to see how she is healing. If things look good she will be able to take two 10 minute walks a day. She'll be exhausted after all her laying around. :)
